Students, faculty, and staff, along with the broader campus community, are invited to participate in this unique, multifaceted event celebrating diverse artists, perspectives, professional and academic communities, and goals.   URI SHRM and the College of Business is proud to welcome PVD World Music Institute , a volunteer-run community arts 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization based in Providence, RI. PVD World Music showcases a plethora of contemporary efforts to cherish, celebrate and enrich Indigenous and African traditional music and arts, and create opportunities for cultural exchange and learning among the richly diverse communities living in Rhode Island. They are a champion of DEI values and preserve and promote local cultural identities through performance, community advocacy, education and research programs.
